Hansgrohe's CoolStart technology means that only cold water will flow out when set to the middle position.

 Whereas in standard mixers the continuous flow heaters or circulation pump start up immediately when in the middle position, in CoolStart mixers the piping system does not fill up unnecessarily with hot water. When you move the lever to the left, hot water is added. You decide how high the temperature needs to be. It is not possible to move the lever to the right.

To sum up: CoolStart reduces energy consumption, and therefore CO2 emissions too. This means that Hansgrohe's latest idea automatically reduces the burden on both the environment and your wallet. The innovative mode of operation (the lever for the hot water can only be moved to the left) marks a new trend in the world of bathrooms.

Its inventors decided that there would only ever be one Hansgrohe iBox. Which is why it’s called the iBox universal. It has been successful in the market for over ten years. Time for the next innovative step. Integration of the button technology for even greater comfort when showering.

Thousands of button push tests have confirmed it: using ShowerSelect concealed  thermostats is so intuitive that you understand them right from the start. And the reason why they work for such a long time is because they have no electronic components at all. The new finish sets are easy to fit to the iBox, and just as easy to replace any existing ones. The flush integrated Select buttons not only make it extremely easy to control – the active function can be identified at first glance on the raised control button. And cleaning them couldn’t be easier either.

The iBox universal hides the shower control inside the wall, which leaves even more space for showering pleasure. It is the standard basic set for all Hansgrohe bath and shower mixers and concealed thermostat solutions.
